The Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library was thrilled to honor a beloved character, Bluey, during Bluey Reads Month in July. This event aimed to remind children of the significance of reading and to foster a love for books. The festivities featured an interactive display showcasing Bluey books available for checkout, along with a large jar filled with blue jelly beans, where kids could guess the number inside.

Participants had the opportunity to enter their guesses for a chance to win a collection of six Bluey books paired with a poster or a delightful Bluey plush toy. The local Decatur County Family Connection partnered with the library to sponsor these special Bluey prizes. Each time children visited the library, they could submit a ticket with their guess to enter the prize drawing.

The display was incredibly popular, capturing the interest of both parents and children, who eagerly inquired about future events that would encourage kids to visit the library. For more information about upcoming events visit swgrl.org.
