The Georgia Library Quarterly is the association’s official journal. It focuses on library and information science generally and includes news and other content of interest to Georgia librarians.
Article Types
The Georgia Library Quarterly welcomes submissions from anyone, and regularly publishes peer reviewed articles, “Off the Shelf” book reviews, and two recurring columns, My Own Private Library and the Georgia Library Spotlight.
Peer reviewed articles
Peer reviewed articles include articles on library and information science of interest to library workers of Georgia and the profession and can be empirical, literature review, or case study articles. (Submission guidelines and information on submitting articles are available on the journals’ Policies page.)

Off the Shelf book reviews
Book reviews cover aspects of life in Georgia and the South, including history, literature, politics, education, and genealogy. It also considers materials by Southern authors, published by regional publishers, and on the topic of libraries and librarianship.

My Own Private Library
My own private library showcases the book collections of librarians and library employees. Its tone is casual and personal and often features photos of the author and their collections.

Georgia Library Spotlight articles are published to the association’s news and in the Georgia Library Quarterly. These brief, 500-word pieces highlight some aspect of a Georgia Library building, program, service or achievement.
