The 2026 Georgia Library Instruction, Teaching, and Reference Conference will take place virtually via Zoom on Friday, July 31st. This year's theme is: Creative Collections: Utilizing Physical and Digital Collections for Programming, Research, and Information Literacy.

In a rapidly evolving academic landscape, the need to foster deeper learning and engagement is more crucial than ever. This year's conference theme, Creative Collections: Utilizing Physical and Digital Collections for Programming, Research, and Information Literacy, invites educators, librarians, and information professionals to explore the ways in which our varied collections, from archives to audio/digital collections, are used to foster a love of research, information literacy, and engagement with libraries for all. Themes such as accessibility, classroom or cross-department collaborations, and inclusion are encouraged.

This is a free, online webinar open to all attendees.

Join us for the 2026 Georgia Libraries Conference

The Georgia Library Association will be hosting the Georgia Libraries Conference (GLC) in-person on October 7 - 9, 2026, in Columbus, GA at the Columbus GA Convention & Trade Center. This conference is a place for our members and guests to showcase their professional and scholarly accomplishments with our profession at large.

Our theme this year is "All are Welcome Here: Imagine, Create, Elevate." Our featured keynote speaker for the conference will be Dr. Nicole Cooke from the University of South Carolina. https://libraryphd.weebly.com/

This year the conference will be held in person. There will not be a virtual session. We are looking forward to valuable sessions across topics relevant for our entire membership.

Preconference

Seat at the Table: A Library Leader's Guide to Cultivating Legislative Influence

Libraries don't lack champions, but they must build the relationships to sustain them. This workshop equips library leaders with the strategies and confidence to build meaningful connections with legislators before the budget session, before the crisis, and before the ask. Registration

Registration options include regular member rates, student/retiree/unemployed member rates, and non-member rates. Advance registration rates are available through October 6. On-site registrations and registrations after October 6 will pay an additional late registration fee.

Exhibitor I Package	$525	Full conference registration for 1 person, booth for your organization in the exhibit hall, included as exhibitor in the conference app/program, and opportunity to attend all in-person activities at the conference. Includes power for the booth.
Exhibitor II Package	$775	Full conference registration for 2 people, booth for your organization in the exhibit hall, included as exhibitor in the conference app/program, and opportunity to attend all in-person activities at the conference. Includes power for the booth.
